The Octopus Project Tour Dates To Tour in Support of Upcoming Album, “Hexadecagon”

Tue, 08/17/2010 - 04:01

THE OCTOPUS PROJECT TOUR IN SUPPORT OF UPCOMING RECORD HEXADECAGON

Austin-based group The Octopus Project will head out on a fall tour in support of their upcoming album Hexadecagon, which debuted as a live performance and will be released in album form October 26, 2010 on Peek-A-Boo Records.

Hexadecagon was born out of long drives from venue to venue soundtracked by minimalist composers Terry Riley and Steve Reich, inspiring the band to use custom electronics (The Bend Matrix) and push existing software (Ableton Live, VDMX, OSCulator) to its limits. Ultimately, they arranged eight speakers in a circle around the audience, with the audience surrounding the band at the center, accompanied by eight synchronized video projections, designed by Austin digital artist Wiley Wiggins.

The Octopus Project performed Hexadecagon live twice to over-capacity crowds during SXSW 2010 to emphatically positive reception. Paste Magazine said of the show, “if there’s a such thing as a happiness seizure, be prepared to have one,” while The Austin American Statesman described the event as, “the trippiest, most elaborate thing the Octopus Project have ever done, and that’s a very tall order.” USA Today ranked the performance one of its top five shows of SXSW.

The Octopus Project will bring elements of Hexadecagon on the road with them for the tour, which is not to be missed!

Manic Encounters with Musicians

Mon, 08/16/2010 - 04:41

With two of my favorite bands, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Mates of State concurrently touring this summer/fall in support of their most recent releases (Let it Sway and Crushes, respectively) its been challenging to refrain from re-living harrowing flashbacks of my fleeting encounters with both bands in the fall of 2006, while experiencing my first ever manic episode.

At the age of nineteen I moved out of the confines of my parents’ 1970s themed home/asylum and to Montreal to experience the closest Canada has to an Ivy League institution as well as to seek out the undiscovered talent of Montreal’s burgeoning indie music scene, beyond the scope of such overrated acts like The Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade. These ‘glory days’ would only last two months before I crashed and burned in my tiny dorm room in a fit of rapid-cycling moods that prompted me to return home to my native Toronto, where a proper diagnosis of bipolar disorder was awaiting me with olive branch extended.

Unable to take in any homegrown talent other than Lesbians on Ecstasy (who would not fall into the ‘talent’ camp) during my limited stay in Montreal, the two most memorable live music experiences were delivered by two of the best acts to ever grace the Polyvinyl roster, Mates of State and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin.

While touring in support of their 2006 disc, Bring it Back, with their newborn baby girl, Magnolia, in tow, I pegged Jason Hammel and Kori Gardner as exactly the type of stable people I needed to latch onto in order to survive my chemically imbalanced tailspin into the depths of hipster hell. What resulted was the delusion that this cutesy husband/wife duo would be properly equipped and jumping at the chance to take this two time high school dropout under their wing, into their hearts and aboard their probably cramped tour bus.

With a beer in my left hand and an uncapped pen violently shaking in my right, I feverishly scrawled out in my most legible, all-caps handwriting ‘WILL YOU ADOPT ME?!’, (actually punctuated with an interrobang to underline my utter desperation) wound up my good arm like an MLB pitcher taking the mound and threw the note as hard as I could. Despite being firmly planted in the second row, the wad of paper just barely landed on stage. The band kept on playing without pause and much to my dismay, neither member even bothered to unfold my crumpled request/cry for help.

The following week I wrangled the only gals from my all-girls residence (affectionately coined ‘the Leservation’ by all those fortunate enough to not be residing there) who could still stomach me to the World’s Smallest Venue, Zoobizarre, wherein Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin played to an audience of twelve – bar staff included.

During the first momentary lapse between songs, I frantically yelled out to the band that I personally knew someone from their hometown, Springfield, Missouri via LiveJournal, that he had once upon a time mailed me the demo version of their first LP, Broom and that I loved them, in true fangirl fashion.

Mistaking their bewilderment over my outcry for camaraderie, I seized the opportunity to follow the band members out to their van after the show to properly introduce myself/make them regret ever crossing the border that day. Either the fellows in SSLYBY have experience with handling the mentally ill or they were just floored to know that their fan base extended outside of their circle of friends, but they were nothing but gentlemen to me – handing me a CD-R of their unofficial Summer Tour EP and inviting me to accompany them to see Phoenix later that evening. This was, of course, three years before Phoenix would release their Grammy Award-winning magnum opus, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, they merely described them as ‘this French band we’ve been listening to all summer’. Having never cared too much for perennial Daddy’s Girl, Sofia Coppola, or any of the men she has cavorted with, I politely declined their invitation, playing the ‘it’s a school night’ card and exiting without tact.

I plan to attend Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin’s upcoming performance at Toronto’s legendary El Mocambo on September 4th, but this time, will wisely nurse my beer in silence in a back corner of the room and avoid making a spectacle of myself.

Stepping out of the Boundaries

Mon, 08/16/2010 - 04:34

For years I have been attending numerous concerts; Warped Tour, Florence and the machine, Miike Snow etc and at each of these events, I not only witness breathtaking performances but I also have the pleasure of sticking out like a sore thumb. The color of my skin is what gives me that ability, and although I am not the person to care about something like this, it got me thinking about a deeper issue.

At this point in our generation where everyone can and should be treated as equal and therefore live freely making their own decisions, there is still this lingering idea what each race is expected to listen to, way that they should dress, along with speak and so on. Therefore when people who are for example black don’t fit into those boundaries it is sometimes shocking for others to see.

This means that when one of us are seen singing along to a song by the incredible artist Yeasayer people are so taken a back that they find the need to ask about it as if this person is unaware of who they are singing along to. This also means that buying a ticket to a Bring Me The Horizon concert makes the employee at Ticketmaster laugh. It also means that when I buy a certain album such as The Black Keys, or MGMT, the person working at the store has to take a double take from my face to the album as if I’m crazy. It needs to be understood that there is still some ignorance out there to a certain extent. Ignorance that allows me to be looked at as if I possess a third arm when trying to enjoy myself, singing along to Pierce The Veil.

Not everyone knows that occurrences like these happen all the time, and the people who don’t realize it are the ones who probably have accepted that not all black people are glued to watching Black Entertainment Television 24/7 and that many are exposed to different genres of music that we enjoy.

The thing is, there might not even be a specific way in order to open up other peoples narrow minds but hopefully if they keep witnessing more fans like me in the audience for artists that in their little world is unknown to black people it will become more easy for them to comprehend that Hip Hop and R&B aren’t the only genres on our ipod.

We the Kings Release Smile Kid on August 31st

Fri, 08/13/2010 - 23:45

We The Kings SET TO RELEASE SMILE KID ON AUGUST 31st

Named after their hometown Bradenton, Florida’s King Middle School where they first made music together, members Travis Clark, Hunter Thomsen, Drew Thomsen, and Danny Duncan have grown into one of the most exciting and infectious bands on the pop-rock circuit. On August 31st, We the Kings will release their sophomore album, Smile Kid on S-curve Records/Awesome/EMI in Canada.

The band’s new album has been much anticipated after the success of their self-titled debut which hit #1 on Billboard’s New Alternative Album sales chart and has since sold over 2 million tracks. Their songs have had over 56 million plays on MySpace, and 15 million YouTube video plays (including the #1 most played music video for “Check Yes Juliet.”)

Produced by S*A*M & Sluggo (Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship, Metro Station), the band already have a hit on their hands with the lead single, “We’ll Be A Dream” featuring American actress and singer-songwriter Demi Lovato (Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Sonny With A Chance). The track was just nominated for a Teen Choice Award and is currently heating up the radio charts here in Canada.

Since the release of their first album, We the Kings have toured extensively and have shared the stage with Metro Station, Valencia, All Time Low, Boys Like Girls and The Audition. In 2009 and 2010, the band gained further exposure with their performances at the Vans Warped Tour. Their music has been licensed for the CW, MTV, Rock Band, and more, and they have also made appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, MTV’s TRL and Spring Break 2008.

The title of the new release, Smile Kid, sums up the band’s attitude. As Clark explains, “we are all about living life as happy as possible, and when you seem down, just remember to Smile Kid.” These infectious high spirits and camaraderie energize their on-the-road videos and live performances. We the Kings are not to be missed! Stay tuned for upcoming Canadian tour dates.

DOOMTREE ANNOUNCES NATIONAL WINGS + TEETH TOUR STARTING NOVEMBER 4th ALL SEVEN MEMBERS INCLUDING P.O.S., DESSA, SIMS, CECIL OTTER, MIKEY MICTLAN, LAZERBEAK, AND PAPER TIGER TO PERFORM

For the first time ever, all seven members of the Doomtree collective will embark on a month long, headlining tour staring November 4th. Already, 2010 has been a banner year for the group. P.O.S turned heads in the New York Times newsroom for his exceptional performance at Coachella. Dessa’s January release, A Badly Broken Code, received superlative reviews from critics across the country, including NPR’s Robert Christgau. Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger, two of Doomtree’s producers, are unveiling ambitious solo projects this year. Early responses have been outstanding. Sims is gearing up for a 2011 release, while Cecil Otter and Mike Mictlan are both hard at work on new projects.

Doomtree has earned a national and international fanbase for smart, innovative recordings and for a raucous, unpredictable live show. On and off stage, the close-knit crew of musicians operates as a rag-tag family. Their tight friendships and fierce loyalties are clearly evidenced in their performances–goofy, riotous, and earnest by turn. The Wings + Teeth tour will feature solo performances and a riotous crew set. Tickets are available to the general public on August 20th. Edmonton’s HOT PANDA Hit The Road This Fall In Support of New Album HOW COME I’M DEAD? Out October 12th, 2010

Thu, 08/12/2010 - 19:06

Edmonton’s HOT PANDA Hit The Road This Fall In Support of New Album HOW COME I’M DEAD? Out October 12th, 2010

When you get compared, in the same breath, to everything from Daniel Johnson to the Talking Heads, you know you have a sound that’s hard to pin down. How Come I’m Dead, Hot Panda’s second full-length out on Mint Records, encompasses a swath of tunes that sound like anything and everything. Brit pop, gypsy swing, opera solos, Robert Pollard style lo-fi jangles and glammy Roxy Music keyboards. All this and more find their home in the music of Hot Panda…sometimes all in the same song!

After the recording of their 2007 EP Whale Headed Girl, Hot Panda took to the road, and I guess you could say the road took to them! The band hasn’t looked back since, ever wheeling around Canada in their smelly van, taking their rambunctiously theatrical live show to kids who like to dance all over North America (including stints at festivals such as SXSW, CMJ, and Pop Montreal!). In February 2009, Hot Panda’s first full length record, Volcano…Bloody Volcano!, came out and debuted at number one on the Earshot! college charts in Canada, and at 21 on CMJ College charts in the US! It also earned them a West Coast Music Award nomination (best independent album), and the Pandas were very happy!

PELICAN TO CELEBRATE 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY BY RELEASING 10 LP BOX SET, PLAYING EXCLUSIVE SHOWS IN CHICAGO AND LOS ANGELES THREE FLOYDS BREWERY TO SHOW APPRECIATION BY RELEASING UBER-LIMITED PELICAN-INSPIRED DOPPELBOCK BEER

Chicago’s reigning gods of heavy instrumental rock, Pelican, have announced plans to play two very special shows in celebration of their 10-year anniversary box set release, out October 19th on Berlin, Germany’s Viva Hate Records. The elegantly packaged wooden-box set will be limited to a run of 500 copies and will encompass material from their four full-length releases and three EPs. Formed in Chicago in 2000, the quartet’s discography has stood as a consistent refutation of genre and musical classicism, perfecting an obtuse approach that has become increasingly precise and calculated while no less recognizable. Listeners from all corners of the earth have celebrated Pelican’s unique instrumental take on metal, watching them spur the genre into new conceptual territory.

Pelican play Chicago’s Bottom Lounge on October 23rd joined by longtime friends and occasional collaborators The Life & Times. Munster, IN’s Three Floyds Brewery, recognized internationally as one of the most unique and distinguished micro-breweries in the country, will celebrate the event by unveiling a special, Pelican-dedicated doppelbock (one of the few styles of beer all four band members regularly agree upon). The as-yet-unnamed ale will be served at the Chicago show and at select watering holes and specialty shops around the Chicagoland area for a limited time. One week after the Chicago appearance, Pelican will join forces with legendary doom-metal overlords Goatsnake (making a rarer than rare live appearance) on October 30th to play the Troubador in Los Angeles, an event likely to be one of the most anticipated So-Cal metal sets in recent memory.

PELICAN 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY DATES:
Oct. 23rd Chicago, IL The Bottom Lounge
Oct. 30th Los Angeles, CA The Troubador

The Cliks and Hunter Valentine join forces with The Dollyrots for The Guts and Glory Tour: August 24 – September 3, 2010

New York (NY) … Toronto natives and labelmates The Cliks and Hunter Valentine announce a ten-date tour with Los Angeles’ The Dollyrots from August 24th to September 3rd, 2010. The undeniable DIY ethic and commitment to touring employed by all three bands brings them together for shows from coast to coast.

Led by front man Lucas Silvera, The Cliks paired up with legendary producer-engineer Sylvia Massy to record “Dirty King” (Tommy Boy Records), their most adventurous album to date. Following the great success of their sophomore album “Snakehouse,” The Cliks’ incendiary live shows became the calling card by which they were known, and in short order, musical heroes Ian Astbury of the Cult and Cyndi Lauper hand-picked the band for their respective tours. MTV’s Logo awarded The Cliks the NewNowNext “Artist On the Brink” award which ultimately led to an appearance on teenybopper mecca TRL.

With the release of their brand new sophomore album “Lessons From the Late Night” (Tommy Boy Records), Hunter Valentine was recently named “Best Local Band” by Go Magazine. Always committed to touring and performing for new audiences, the band recently returned from a west coast tour of the United States and continues to tour in their native Canada and in the United States. Working with award-winning director Taylor Cohen, their video for “The Stalker” won mtvU’s “The Freshmen”, and the band recently shot a new video for “Revenge” with acclaimed Canadian director Colin Minihan.

The Bloody Beetroots Announce Fall Tour With Live Band First U.S. Extended Tour with: The Bloody Beetroots DeathCrew 77!

Thu, 08/12/2010 - 16:50

The Bloody Beetroots Announce Fall Tour With Live Band First U.S. Extended Tour with: The Bloody Beetroots DeathCrew 77!

After a brief break from DJ sets around the world, Italian producer and polymath Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, a.k.a. The Bloody Beetroots, is preparing to launch his latest U.S. tour this October. For the first time, Rifo will be joined for the extended tour by a full band: Bloody Beetroots DeathCrew 77. Stepping out from behind the mixers, Rifo now plays guitar, bass, and synths and is joined on stage by Tommy Tea on controllers and the Beetroots’ newest member Edward Grinch on drums. The new live setup is a dramatic reinterpretation of the Beetroots’ music and the ultimate marriage of the band’s love of grinding electronic melodies, aggressive hardcore punk, and elaborate compositions.

Check out the band Live at La Cigale as well as their new video for “Domino” for a sample of The Bloody Beetroots DeathCrew 77.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2007, The Bloody Beetroots have brought a sense of danger to dance floors across the globe. From “Butter” to “Cornelius” to the Steve Aoki assisted “Warp 1.9,” The Bloody Beetroots’ early singles dominated clubs across the globe, paving the way for the group’s debut full-length Romborama. Released in August 2009 on Dim Mak, the record blended lines between house, techno, hip-hop, hardcore punk, and even at times orchestral compositions (Rifo spent years studying composers like Chopin, Beethoven, and Debussy, after all). Romborama was a star-studded affair that featured guest appearances from everyone from Justin Pearson (The Locust, All Leather) and Vicarious Bliss to The Cool Kids and J*DaVeY. The record was followed by the Spares of Romborama Series, which included Xmas Vendetta and The Domino EP. Around this time, Bob recruited Tommy Tea to help him out on the road, and the DJ duo toured the world with one of the most raucous and energetic live shows out there. In between touring, releasing two EPs, and dropping a full length album, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo managed to collaborate with Steve Aoki to rework The Refused’s legendary track, “New Noise.”

And now with the formation of the The Bloody Beetroots DeathCrew 77, the band is evolving once again. In many ways, Bob is returning to his punk roots. Prior to his work as The Bloody Beetroots, Bob’s labor of love was Bob Rifo’s Gang, an electro-punk band he formed in 2005. Rifo also spent much of the last year recording and performing with Steve Aoki as a part of their hardcore side-project, Rifoki. It’s these influences that have bled into the Beetroots’ new live setup, and is a projection of where the band is heading.

About Dim Mak: Dim Mak started in 1996 as a whim and became a lifestyle. Launching with a 7″ from obscure SoCal hardcore ensemble Stickfigurecarousel, Dim Mak’s roster grew to include bands outside of hardcore and punk to garage rock and roll, disco punk, new wave, whatever it is that is explosive. The roster is a large and expanding one. There is no particular genre of music they corner other than what they know feels right. The point being is to just to release what they think is good regardless of style, which they have done again and again over the past 13 years.

PS I Love You tour North America in support of Paper Bag Records debut. ’2012′ MP3 available available for download.

Toronto — Kingston, Ontario’s quick-rising duo, PS I Love You, will tour North America upon the release of their brilliant debut album Meet Me At The Muster Station. The 26-date tour sees the band travel across Canada and the United States including a stop at CMJ in New York City. The band will be sharing the stage with the likes of Japandroids, Ladyhawk and Frog Eyes along the way. Paper Bag Records will release the album October 5th on CD, digital download and limited-edition 180 gram clear vinyl.

Meet Me At The Muster Station is a relentless listen that grips and pulls the listener through just under thirty-minutes of squalling Marshall feedback, searing solos, soaring melodies and rock-steady beats and will surely be considered one of this year’s finest debuts.

PS I Love You have been extremely busy over the past couple of years having already released two acclaimed 7″ singles. The first was a split 7″ with friend Diamond Rings in August of 2009. Earlier this year, the band released a 7″ for ‘Starfield’ before wowing audiences at their Canadian Music Week and NXNE showcases. Recently, the band has shared the stage with the hottest indie acts including label-mates Born Ruffians as well as Japandroids and Wavves. The PS I Love You EP is now available through iTunes and Paper Bag Digital and contains no material from the full length album.

PS I Love You was originally the solo project for multi-instrumentalist Paul Saulnier who has performed in everything from a country-rock band to an improvised noise duo. PS I Love You was intended to be his experimental, pop music outlet using guitar looping pedals, keyboards with some gadgets and gimmicks. The addition of Benjamin Nelson on drums suddenly transformed PS I Love You’s little songs into mini, soaring rock anthems.

What folks are saying about PS I Love You:

With PS I Love You’s Meet Me at the Muster Station slowly but surely becoming one of our most anticipated releases of 2010, it’s nice to see more tracks from the Kingston, ON’s debut being offered for public consumption. Today, our taste of the upcoming Paper Bag release comes via the record’s third track, “2012.” The track shows the duo’s knack for anthemic call-to-arms throw-downs, which they mix with just the right level of teen angst and down-and-out melancholy. – Exclaim

The record isn’t out until October 5th, but since I got my copy I’ve had trouble turning it off and I’d wager it’s going to crack countless year end lists. At only 30-minutes, the record is concise and for a debut it’s remarkable that the band never stumbles or lets up. They absolutely blew my ear drums out at Gus’ Pub opening for Apollo Ghosts, but in a bit more controlled environment – like a properly recorded LP – you really get to hear the genius moments of guitar hooks and fuzz. – Herohill

What are blogs for, if not to make hyperbolic prophecies about how an up-and-coming band is going to take over the world and becoming the biggest thing since __________? Here goes: PS I Love You is going to be Canada’s next indie sensation. I mean, the band is already on its way. But after the debut LP, Meet Me at the Muster Station, is released on October 5, this shit is going to seriously blow up. – Chipped Hip

From the record comes “2012,” which is a terrific introduction to their vaguely dissonant, distortion-blasted, and insatiably catchy style. Saulnier’s vocals are abrasive and passionate, providing a great foil for guitar licks that sound kind of like Cursive’s Domestica run through the pop ringer. – Prefix

WELSH ROCK BAND THE JOY FORMIDABLE SIGN TO CANVASBACK MUSIC/ATLANTIC RECORDS BAND ANNOUNCES HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR; WILL HEADLINE EMERGE NME RADAR TOUR IN THE UK DEBUT FULL-LENGTH SLATED FOR EARLY 2011 RELEASE

WELSH ROCK BAND THE JOY FORMIDABLE SIGN TO CANVASBACK MUSIC/ATLANTIC RECORDS BAND ANNOUNCES HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR; WILL HEADLINE EMERGE NME RADAR TOUR IN THE UK DEBUT FULL-LENGTH SLATED FOR EARLY 2011 RELEASE

Sought-after Welsh rock trio The Joy Formidable are the latest act to sign to Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records. The label will release the band’s full- length debut in early 2011. The Joy Formidable’s eight-song EP “A Balloon Called Moaning” has won them critical praise from a variety of outlets, including the NME, who have consistently raved about the band’s style of “grungey pop [that] is sure to win over swathes of converts.” SPIN called the release “ambitious,” noting: “drenched in fuzzy bass, propelled by…driving percussion… the album transforms ear-stabbing reverb into something pretty, airy, girly and sometimes dark.” The New York Times’ Jon Pareles praised the songs’ “cryptic lyrics that glint with urgency,” and said that “the music regenerates the turbulent haze of 1990s rock, but it’s less tormented and more anthemic, confident of the pop structures at its core.”

The Joy Formidable will hit the road for a headlining North American tour beginning on November 3rd in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to that, the band will headline the Emerge NME Radar tour in September and October, making stops at various venues throughout the UK. Currently the band is on the road in Australia with acclaimed bands The Temper Trap and Passion Pit. Headlining tour dates below.

The Joy Formidable was conceived by longtime friends Ritzy Bryan and Rhydian Dafydd when they were both students in Wales. After they relocated to London and brought in drummer Matt Thomas, they got down to writing material for their upcoming debut album. The resulting sound melds the huge expanses of the band members’ native Welsh countryside with the hectic nature of their new London home. That sound has won them the praise of the UK press and airplay on the UK’s Radio 1. The band has been working in the studio on tracks recently with highly regarded producer/mixer Rich Costey (Muse, Foo Fighters, Glasvegas) in anticipation of an early 2011 album release; a single from those sessions, “I Don’t Want To See You Like This,” is due out this fall.

SINGER/SONGWRITER JARROD GORBEL ANNOUNCES TOUR IN SUPPORT OF HIS NEW ALBUM DEVIL’S MADE A NEW FRIEND OUT AUGUST 31

Wed, 08/11/2010 - 22:20

SINGER/SONGWRITER JARROD GORBEL ANNOUNCES TOUR IN SUPPORT OF HIS NEW ALBUM DEVIL’S MADE A NEW FRIEND OUT AUGUST 31

Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Jarrod Gorbel, formerly of The Honorary Title, will release his first solo album Devil’s Made a New Friend August 31 on independent label Burning-house Records and his own imprint, Gorbel Music. Blake Sennett (of Rilo Kiley and The Elected) produced the album, which features many collaborations and a band made up of members of Rilo Kiley, Black Crowes, Mystic Valley Band, and Azure Ray.

After several years performing under the moniker The Honorary Title (which eventually evolved into a full-fledged quartet praised by Spin and Rolling Stone,) Devil’s Made a New Friend is Jarrod’s debut full-length release under his own name. The peaks and valleys of both his musical career and personal life resulted in this candid, passionate collection of songs, which sees Jarrod looking to classic soul, traditional folk and Americana for inspiration. The songs incorporate new elements such as strings, horns and female backing vocals for a lush, organic sound that compliments Jarrod’s signature deceptively simple melodies, warm arrangements and soaring voice. In his own words, the album is a set of 10 songs that capture an artist “starting over, going back to the beginning, and reestablishing myself.”

Each song on the new album is accompanied by a live video shot in various locations throughout New York City, which you can find here www.jarrodgorbelmusic.com. In the collaborative spirit of Devil’s Made A New Friend, all of the videos feature appearances by other musicians, including celloist Yoed Nir, Nicole Atkins, Portastatic violinist Margarite White and others. You can check out his new video “Devilish Ways” (feat. Nicole Atkins) here.

Also, he is giving away his 1st single “I’ll Do Better” off his new album. Grab your “I’ll Do Better” track FREE here:
